City of Jozi flight by day or by night
You depart from Grand Central Airport, New Road, Midrand, then head south following
the N1 below. You then fly over Sandton CBD, the richest mile in Africa, and then over Alexander
township; Nelson Mandela’s first place of residence in Johannesburg.
Now following Rivonia/Oxford Rd below, you fly over Rosebank and the forest of Saxonwold,
admiring the old "Rand Lords" houses on the Parktown ridge. You fly around Johannesburg CBD,
heading towards Nasrec (Soccer City) and Soweto. From here you see the main gold reef, the old head
gears and the mine dumps.
You fly over Soweto and view the old Orlando cooling towers - now
the landmark of Soweto. You continue north over Roodepoort, Little Falls Nature Reserve and The
Cradle Nature Reserve. You do a loop over the Cradle and head back to Grand Central Airport.
You have an option of stopping over for lunch at Casalinga www.casalinga.co.za / or the Cradle
Nature reserve www.thecradle.co.za / The extra costs would be your lunch (and pilot's), but we won’t
charge you for idle time while having lunch. This flight is about 1 hour.

Majestic Magaliesburg mountains
You depart from Grand Central Airport and head North West towards Hartebeespoort Dam. You fly over the Hartebeespoort
Dam and continue deeper into the Magaliesburg mountains.
You have an option to stop for lunch en route at DeHoek http://www.dehoek.com
or Mount Grace Hotel and Spa http://www.mountgrace.co.za. The extra cost will be your
lunch (and the pilot's), but we will not charge you helicopter idle time. After a leisurely
stop you continue to Johannesburg, over the Sterkfontein Caves, The Cradle of Humankind, Mogale City,
Honeydew and Randpark Ridge. You fly over Fourways and Monte Casino, then continue back to Grand Central Airport.
This flight is about 1 hour.
You will be collected from OR Tambo or Grand Central Airport. The Squirrel B2 or Bell 407
will take you on a scenic flight, either before or after your 18 hole round of golf at
the Pecanwood Golf Course. See Johannesburg like you’ve never seen it before!
In terms of getting your golf clubs to Pecanwood, a vehicle will collect your golf clubs the day before
the game and drop it off at the Pecanwood club house. After the game we would deliver them
back to your house.
You will be collected from OR Tambo or Grand Central Airport, to then fly north east
over the Rietvlei Dam (built in 1929 during the great depression). You fly over
the estate of the Sammy Marks' house (he was a great contributor to Pretoria
and Johannesburg).
You then do a loop over the Premier Diamond Mine to see just
how big the hole is! You then land in the premises of the mine where you are greeted by our
friendly tour guide. We take you on a tour of the working mine and tell you the
history behind it. The largest diamond ever to be found in the world was discovered
here (3106 carrots!).
After the 1 and a half hour tour we take you into the
diamond building where you can see how they cut, polish and set diamonds, and you have the
option of purchasing your own special diamond from this historic land mark.
You then continue back to Grand Central Airport or OR Tambo.
You will be collected from OR Tambo or Grand Central Airport. Then you'll fly over Pretoria
and over the Tswaing Meteorite Crater. This was formed about 220 000 years ago when
a large stony meteorite crashed into the earth’s crust. This formed a 1.4 km impact
crater, nearly 200m deep in an area about 40 km northwest of Pretoria. On a geological
time scale, this impact is actually quite recent. This explains why it is one of the best-preserved
meteorite impact craters in the world.
You continue on over farm lands and small
game reserves and, after approximately 45 min flight, arrivze at Mabula Game Reserve. You have an
option of having breakfast, a game drive and lunch, or either breakfast or lunch and a game
drive. After the drive you board the helicopter and head back to Johannesburg via the
Hartebeespoort Dam, in the Magaliesburg Mountains.
Legends Big 5 & Golf Safari
You will be collected from either OR Tambo International or Grand Central Airport. You fly over Pretoria
and over the Tswaing Meteorite Crater, one of the best-preserved meteorite impact craters in the world.
You then continue on over farm lands and small game reserves below and, in just over a 1 hour flight, arrive at Legends
Golf Safari Resort. This resort boasts the highest par 3 in the world and is a golfers paradise:
a 22000 hectare, malaria-free resort with an 18 hole signature course... each hole designed by
world renowned golfers such as Trevor Immelman, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh, to name a few.
The “19th hole” par 3 is only accessible by helicopter. In celebration of the African Renaissance,
the green (situated 400m below the tee) is the shape of Africa, with contouring that mimics the African
continent and features landmarks like Mt Kilimanjaro and the Great Rift valley. This is truly a one of a kind!
A scenic 35 minute flight from Grand central Airport will bring you
to Ukutula Lion Park.
The Ukutula game farm comprises 260 hectares of unspoilt bushveld boasting a variety of antelope species, giraffe and
zebra. It s also home to more than 130 different bird species.
The Ukutula experience starts with a short talk and brief on these amazing animals. You will be taken on a one hour bush
walk with the lions and view them in their natural environment. The trained guides will not only tell you about the lions,
but about the flora and fauna. Their birding knowledge is excellent for the keen bird spotters!
You will have the opportunity to interaction with these young lions, bottle feed the lion cubs and join the guided tour to
the lion, cheetah & tiger enclosures. This is part of the whole Ukutula experience. The trained guides will assist young and
old to experience the joy of holding a lion cub and learning about these amazing cats.
After the lion experience you will be taken to the restaurant. This will either be in the boma or under and acacia tree; the
choice is yours. Ukutula have two qualified chefs that can cater for most dietary requirements and occasions. From an a la
carte, to the traditional outdoor cooking, these chefs will enlighten you to the true African cuisine experience. Fresh vegetables
of the day and only organically grown fresh herbs from the garden are used.
After your leisurely lunch you will depart Ukutula and return to Grand Central Airport.
